The Client-Side Team award recognizes client-side marketing research and insight teams making outstanding contributions to the success of their company (department with less than 10 researchers). Researchers who consistently execute high-quality research; elevate the role of research and insights within the company; and work to collaborate with key internal stakeholders.

Client-side teams should excel in the following areas:

  • Strategic value – provide long-term benefits to the company as a whole
  • Demonstrated effectiveness – worked as a team to achieve a goal; overcome a challenge presented to the organization; and/or improve the integration of marketing research throughout the company
  • Meet and anticipate internal needs, supporting the company’s overall mission and/or vision 
  • Promote diversity and inclusion – sponsors or actively promotes programs, projects, education or initiatives in the area of diversity and inclusion 

Submissions must include a 500-word statement outlining why the team should win the award, using metrics to support the claims. Submissions must also include a minimum of one testimonial from internal stakeholders. We encourage you to include a case study, additional testimonials and/or other supporting materials to showcase how the client-side team is meeting the above criteria.  

You can nominate your own team. Previous winners of the Marketing Research and Insight Excellence Award Client-Side Team (department with less than 10 researchers) category are not eligible.

Early-bird entry fee: $0 (March 30 - April 30, 2020 May 29, 2020) 

Standard entry fee: $75 (May 29 - June 30, 2020)

Late entry fee: $150 (July 1 - July 8, 2020)

Winners will be announced at The Marketing Research and Insight Excellence Awards – Powered by Quirk’s, taking place on November 9, 2020 at The Edison Ballroom in New York City. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2020 we are NOT requiring finalists to attend the award ceremony and accept the award in person. We will continue to monitor guidelines and travel advice from the CDC and the WHO and, if the gala is able to take place, finalists will receive a single complimentary gala ticket (a $400 value) (nominee can designate someone to attend in their place). In the event an in-person gala cannot take place, finalists will be provided with information regarding a virtual awards ceremony.
